Service

 

History: Lacool has been the sole distributor for Uni-Aire ducted air conditioners in Victoria for many years and as such are expertly equipped to service these units. We carry a range of Uni-Aire spare parts. We also carry out limited service for YORK ducted units. Our Service Dept. primary roll is to provide warranty service, but will undertake repairs and annual service as well. We service hundreds of units each year.

We also occasionally undertake change-over installations, where repairs have become uneconomical.

 

Repairs: Running repairs to installations, where small or routine are undertaken, but as a matter of course we do not get involved otherwise with problems, when identified, associated with the design or performance of the actual ducted system. We suggest contacting the original installers or other qualified contractors.

 

Bookings: When we book your service call, we will estimate a time window with you, and/or, if requested a cost estimate, but cannot guarantee either. The reason being is that we do not know how long the previous call takes, or what’s involved with your job until we get there. We can also be affected by gridlocked traffic. We will always endeavour to call you half an hour prior, to confirm. If inclement weather occurs, when your job is due, or other reasons beyond our control, like vehicle breakdown, illness, etc, we will need to re-schedule your job but will not be able to tell you immediately when. Please allow us to contact you, when we know, we can slot you in for a new date. Refrigeration and associated electrical work don’t mix with moisture and become an OH&S issue.

 

Priority: Unit breakdowns and therefore customers with dysfunctional units, usually have priority over annual service. We think that’s only fair. This may, at times, necessitate re-scheduling of some routine servicing. We will do our best to keep you up to date, should this affect your booking. We service Monday – Friday only.

 

Annual Service, carried out as a condition of warranty, or, as requested by many customers, simply minimises the chance of breakdowns at most inopportune moments and extends the service life of your investment.

 

Charges: We believe our charges, compared to many others, are very reasonable. A detailed report of work carried out and COD account will be send to you only after our technicians have lodged a service report with our office administration. We charge $82.50 call-out and this covers one way travel in Melb. Metro area and admin. Our hourly rate is also $82.50. Parts and refrigerant, if required, will incur an extra charge.
